    Physical and chemical characterisation of the use of freshwater resources in agriculture.

  • University of Canterbury
    Lincoln University

    15 points, Summer Course (weeklong block)

    Field-based practical freshwater monitoring, including hydrological, water chemistry, aquatic plant, invertebrate, fish and bird assessments. May involve overnight stays at Cass Field Station.

    Water resource use conflicts, and frameworks balancing environmental, economic, social and cultural water needs in catchment management.

Waterways offers a number of undergraduate courses offered through both universities, which are tailored to those interested in freshwater management. Most of these papers are offered at both the University of Canterbury (Christchurch) and Lincoln University (Lincoln), while a few are offered only at one university.
