Congratulations to Issie Barrett - Canterbury Conservation Award winner
Issie Barrett and Matt Stanford (Enviroschools rep for Selwyn) won the Canterbury Conservation Awards small groups award for their Aquatic Bug Bags project. This project worked with five schools along the Waikirikiri Selwyn River to design, create and deploy aquatic bug bags: artificial habitat additions made from old coffee sacks and used to sample aquatic invertebrates! It was also a delight to catch up with Roslyn Kerr who was emcee for the event at Tūranga.
